On April 8, 2017, the life of 19-year-old Ryan Custer changed dramatically. Upon hearing his story, Jeff Ruby immediately committed to helping the Custer family and has created this unique online auction to raise critical funds for Ryan's care. Please go to the link and enjoy browsing the amazing donated items and consider bidding on your favorites.
"I encourage everyone to take the time to look at the items available to help benefit Ryan Custer," WSU head coach Scott Nagy said. "There are wonderfull items, including a signed basketball from our team and a Ryan Custer signed basketball jersey. It's a great cause for a great kid."
Ryan, a native of Cincinnati and graduate of Elder High School, played his freshman season for the Raiders and will always be considered a member of the team. As a freshman, he played a pivotal role with the Raiders, seeing action in all 32 games.
Following the accident, he spent time in Chicago and Denver making remarkable progress and intends to return to Wright State in the near future. According to a recent post on Ryan Custer's Recovery Care Page on Facebook, " Ryan is finally home!"Â
Other items in the auction include an all-expenses paid trip to the 2018 Final Four, an entire Bengals luxury suite for the Steelers game, Bruce Springsteen and Garth Brooks guitars as well as many other sports memorabilia, vacations and spa experiences as well as much more.
This is your chance to help a well-deserving young man.
