Love Honored for Fifth Time by League

For a fifth time in seven weeks, Wright State's Loudon Love earned Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors, conference officials announced today.

Love, a 6-10 center from Geneva, IL, led WSU to a pair of home wins, including preseason favorite Oakland. He averaged a double-double at 16.2 points and 11 rebounds as he scored 15 points with five rebounds against Detroit Mercy Friday night and 18 points with 17 rebounds against OU Sunday afternoon--17 rebounds tied his career high, which came at Oakland earlier in the month. He shot 14-24 from the field, and 5-9 from the line. Love added four assists, and two steals.

It was also the seventh time this year that a WSU player received this honor as Everett Winchester was selected twice in the first three weeks of the season.

The Raiders, 17-6, 9-1, will play at Cleveland State Thursday and at Youngstown State Saturday. Both game times are 7 pm. The games will air on ESPN3 and 106.5 FM/iHeart app with Chris Collins and Jim Brown. TJ Chumps in Fairborn will host the Coach's Show tonight at 6 pm.
