For a third time this year, Wright State's Loudon Love earned Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors, conference officials announced today.
Love, a 6-10 center from Geneva, IL, posted two double-doubles to lead the Raiders to a Michigan sweep over the weekend. He recorded 13 points and 14 rebounds at Detroit Mercy Friday night, and followed up with 25 points and 7 rebounds at Oakland on Sunday. For the two games, he went 15 of 24 from the field and eight of 11 from the free throw line.
It was also the fifth time this year that a WSU player received this honor as Everett Winchester was selected twice in the first three weeks of the season.
The Raiders, 12-5 and 4-0, have won five straight games and will play at Northern Kentucky, 11-5 and 4-0, Thursday at 7 pm. The game will air on ESPN3.
