The Raiders scored a pair of goals in the first half of play and held on for a 2-1 victory in their final exhibition match at Ball State. Amber Kasmer and Trisha Stevens each netted goals, while goalie Meghan Hackerson made four saves in the victory.

The Raiders will enter the 2009 season with a respectable mix of seasoned veterans and a contingent of young talent. That mix was good enough for a third place selection in the 2009 Horizon League Women's Soccer Preseason Poll, as voted by the nine league head coaches.

The Raiders tallied a goal in each half of their exhibition game against Central Michigan on Sunday and Meghan Hackerson made nine saves to help WSU to a 2-0 victory. Amy Miller and Amber Kasmer each tallied markers to help WSU win their opening exhibition match of the 2008 season.
