The Wright State volleyball team recorded 143 digs on the night, the most by any Division I squad in a match this season, but it wasn't enough as Valparaiso rallied for a five-set decision in Horizon League action Friday night at the ARC.
The 143 digs eclipse the previous high of 124, set by Albany at Army West Point on September 17. That total is also just one shy of the school record for digs in match since moving up to Division I in 1987, as the Raiders had 144 against Butler on October 16, 1998, in the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.
Wright State (8-14, 3-6 Horizon) returns to action on Sunday, October 23, with a 4:00 league match at Northern Kentucky.
