After dropping the first set, the Wright State volleyball team held a .246-.134 hitting advantage the rest of the way in winning its Horizon League opener Friday night, a four-set decision at UIC.
It is the first win for the Raiders in a league opener since a sweep over Youngstown State at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium on September 16, 2011, and the first on the road in a league opener since defeating Loyola in five sets on September 22, 2006.
Wright State (6-8, 1-0 Horizon) wraps up the road swing on Saturday at Milwaukee, with first serve set for 5:00 Eastern.
