The Wright State volleyball team remained undefeated in Horizon League play with a three-set sweep over Robert Morris on Tuesday night, the sixth sweep in eight League matches this season.

The Raiders (8-1 overall, 8-0 HL) improve to 6-0 on the road this season and will return to the court on March 1 and 2 at IUPUI. The trip to Indianapolis will be the final road trip of the spring season, with Wright State set to close out the regular season schedule with four home matches.

Tuesday night Wright State came out on fire, turning in a .500 hitting percentage on the way to a 25-17 set one victory before set wins of 25-21 and 25-22 to complete the sweep.
Nyssa Baker turned in a solid night offensively and defensively, tallying 11 kills to pace the Raiders while adding seven blocks at the net.
Megan Alders finished with 10 kills of her own, while
Mallory Ladd had nine as the three combined for 30 of Wright State's 46 kills.

Lainey Stephenson passed out 32 of the Raiders' 43 assists, while Stephenson (12) and
Jenna Story (15) accounted for over half of Wright State's 50 digs. After the first set that saw them connect on 16 kills with just two errors, the Raiders finished the night hitting .223 as a team, while Robert Morris was just .103.

Set 1
Down three early in the set, the Raiders rolled off six of the next seven points to take the lead at 9-7. After trading points, Wright State went on an 8-1 run behind kills from Alders, Ladd and Baker to take control of the set at 20-12, wrapping things up with back-to-back kills from Ladd and Stephenson for a 25-17 opening set win.

Set 2
An early 6-1 run thanks to kills from Baker, Sauer, Alders and
Celia Powers staked the Raiders to a four-point advantage, and the margin remained comfortable until Robert Morris tallied a 7-1 run to pull to within three at 24-21. The Raiders closed the set out at 25-21 thanks to an attacking error from the Colonials.

Set 3
Wright State jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead thanks to a service ace from Stephenson and a kill from Ladd, but Robert Morris wouldn't go down without a fight, rallying to take the lead at 10-6 and later 14-9 before the Raiders responded. Wright State fought back throughout the set, eventually tying the score at 19-all thanks to kills from Baker, Ladd,
Katie Meyer and
Callie Martin. Each side traded points to push the match to 22-all, where the Raiders used three straight Robert Morris attacking errors to close the set and the night out.
