HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY – The Wright State volleyball team is on to the 2025 Horizon League Championship match on Sunday afternoon after the No. 2-seeded Raiders rolled through No. 3 Youngstown State in three sets on Saturday night.
Wright State (20-10) will play for the title against top-seeded Northern Kentucky at 2 p.m. Sunday, with fans able to follow the action on ESPN+ and via live stats. NKU (22-8) advanced to the championship earlier Saturday with a five-set win over No. 4 seed IU Indianapolis.

On Saturday, the Raiders tallied a blistering .430 attacking percentage as a group, highlighted by a .571 mark in the second set, as they registered 48 kills against just five errors in the sweep. Youngstown State (17-14) finished the night with a .137 attacking percentage with 30 kills and 16 errors.
Wright State took the opening set 25-15 before a 25-10 second set and a 25-17 final set to take care of the sweep.
Mya Ayro ended the semifinal with a match-best 15 kills on a .500 attacking percentage, adding five blocks, as
Katie Sowko notched 12 kills with seven digs and a pair of service aces.
Elena Dubuc tallied nine kills and
Reilly Zegunis added six of her own, while
Taylor Bransfield chipped in three kills with five blocks.
Lauren Yacobucci collected her 15th double-double of the season as she passed out 38 of Wright State's 46 assists and added 10 digs.
Taygan Corstange also finished with 10 digs as
Ella Gaona had a match-best 18 digs to anchor the backline.
Abbie Householder had 14 kills to lead Youngstown State, while Kameron Blizniak passed out 22 assists and Layne Graffice had 11 digs in the loss.
