FORT WAYNE – The Wright State volleyball team closed out the road portion of its regular season slate with a four-set win at Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon as three Raiders each finished with 16 kills.
Wright State (17-10, 11-5 Horizon) now returns home to close the regular season against Oakland next Friday and Saturday inside McLin Gymnasium. The Raiders enter the final week of action tied for second place in the Horizon League standings with IU Indy (11-5) and behind Northern Kentucky (15-1 HL). Wright State does hold any tiebreakers over IU Indy due to a pair of head-to-head victories earlier this season.
On Saturday, the Raiders dropped the opening set, 25-20, to Purdue Fort Wayne (3-24, 1-15 Horizon) before getting back on track with a 25-21 second set and followed that with set wins of 26-24 and 25-15 to close out the win. As a group, Wright State hit .247 overall and held Purdue Fort Wayne to a .195 overall mark that was aided by the hosts' .344 attacking percentage in the opening set.

Taylor Bransfield tallied 16 kills and added a match-best seven blocks in her final collegiate appearance in her hometown, while
Mya Ayro also finished with 16 kills.
Katie Sowko was the final Raider with 16 kills, adding 12 digs for another double-double performance, as
Reilly Zegunis also had double-digit kills with 12 of her own.
Lauren Yacobucci also notched another double-double to her season stat line, passing out 53 of Wright State's 63 assists and adding 17 digs.
Ella Gaona also collected 17 digs and
Taygan Corstange was the fourth Raider with double-digit digs as she finished with 13 on the backline.
Trinity Rye finished with a match-best 20 kills in the loss for the hosts as Riley Rosneck added 13 kills and Becky Barrett had 31 digs. Lili Smith (25) and Haiden Means (20) combined for 45 of the 49 assists for the hosts.
