Cindy Mercer starred as a three-sport athlete during her time at WSU.
For the basketball team, Mercer was the team MVP for the 1976-77 season, leading the team in points (199) and rebounds (169) that season. Her 9.9 rebounds per game average in the 1976-77 season still rank eighth all time.
Mercer holds a spot in the Raider Volleyball Ring of Fame for her two seasons on the team (1976 & 77).
