Sports Medicine
It is our hope that during your time at Wright State University, you maintain a successful and injury-free career. However, in competitive athletics, injuries do occur and that is where athletic trainers thrive.
Our Sports Medicine staff is comprised of athletic trainers - nationally certified and state licensed allied health care providers responsible for the oversight of the healthcare of their respective teams -working alongside team physicians, orthopedic specialists, massage therapists, chiropractors, and other adjunct providers.
Athletic trainers’ scope of practice includes injury prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques, as well as the overall health of an active population. We work closely with our team physicians in regards to injury management, and coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, etc.
We value our role in ensuring student-athletes have a successful and enjoyable experience while attending Wright State University and it is our goal to provide the best possible care for any medical issues that may arise during your career here. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have about our department, our policies or our procedures.
