DaShaun Wood, currently playing basketball professionally in Europe, led the Raiders to the 2007 Horizon League title and NCAA tournament.
Wood received honors as the WSU Male Athlete of the Year, AP All-American Honorable Mention and the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2007. He was first team All-League in 2006 and 2007.
The Detroit native ranks second overall in scoring for the Raiders with 1,849 career points and 11th overall in rebounding with 563 boards. Wood’s 639 field goals made is fifth most, and his 451 assists rank fourth overall. He is also in the top ten all-time in free-throws made (451), steals (208), and minutes played (4,241). His 648 points in the 2006-07 season is second-most all time for a single season, and ranks him as having the second-highest scoring senior season. He also ranks in the top ten in scoring for a junior and sophomore season. He led the team in scoring in all three of those seasons (2005-07), and was team MVP in each of those years.
