Dr. Carl Benner

Dr. Carl Benner left his mark in many ways on the University and the Raider Athletic Department.
He was a member of the first WSU Athletic Council, serving on it for 22 years, while chairing it for 15 years.
He also volunteered as the men's basketball official scorer for 24 years for all home games and many road contests. As a professor, he prepared future teachers for 40 years and was named the Fred A. White Distinguished Professor of Service while mentoring many Raider athletes.
