When Gary Loe ran for WSU, he was the first WSU track athlete to earn All-America honors, finishing third in the 5,000 meter run at the Division II nationals in 1977.
He helped lead the team to three straight NCAA appearances from 1976-78 and established school records in the 800, 1500, 3000, mile and three-mile runs.
