Mary & Al Schwarz Hall of Fame
Known as “The Voice,” Greg Gahris was the beloved play-by-play radio announcer for Raider basketball for 15 seasons.
A native of West Carrollton, OH and a graduate of Centerville High School and Miami University, Gahris was known for his passion for WSU and for his booming, always recognizable voice. He was famous for cliché-filled descriptions, with several favorite phrases including “Off the glass and down” and “Count the bucket!”
Gahris was inducted posthumously, after his untimely death at the age of 40.
