Mike Mathile, a pitcher during his time with the Raiders, currently ranks in the top five all time in career wins (25) and top ten in career strikeouts (203).
After his final season at WSU, the Dayton-area native held a career ERA of 2.73, which was second best ever at that time and is currently seventh best. During his three years, he helped guide the Raiders to a 114-48 record, including 45 wins in 1989.
Mathile spent his professional career in the Montreal Expos and Cincinnati Reds organizations.
