Rodney Benson played only two seasons with the Raiders, but he made those seasons count. Benson ranks in the top ten on the single season list in several categories including field goals made (266), rebounds (229), and blocked shots (40). He ranks fourth in most points in a single season (612), and third in scoring average for a season with 21.9 points per game. His 612 points in a season are the third most for a senior season.
In career categories, Benson ranks sixth in field goal percentage at .580, and is 27th on the WSU all-time scoring list with 1,048 points.
The two-time team MVP was accorded Division II All-American honors in 1981.
