FIDEN NAMED MCC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

For the second straight week and for the third time in five weeks, a member of the Wright State men’s swimming and diving team has been named the Midwestern Collegiate Conference’s Athlete of the Week. Sophomore Drew Fiden (Kettering, OH/Fairmont) was selected for the week ending November 21 after teammates Jon Averyt and Osiris Briseno won the award in past weeks.
Fiden took home three first-place finishes and a pair of seconds in WSU’s home dual meet with Oakland. Fiden claimed victory in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.82, and teamed for victories in the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. He also placed second in the 200 individual medley (1:58.26) and 200 breaststroke (2:06.25) while also finishing fifth in the 50 freestyle (22.52).
The Wright State swimming and diving teams return to action
the weekend of December 1-2 at the Miami Invitational in
Oxford.
