WSU Swimming & Diving Defeats Xavier

The Wright State University men's and women's swimming teams both won at Xavier Monday afternoon. The men won 145-110 while the women won 146-110.
The men were led by Hrvoje Lisic, a senior from Slovenia, who won the 1,000 free (10:04.58) and the 500 free (4:55.65). Olympian Leonard Ngoma from Zambia also won two events, including the 100 breast (1:01.88) and the 200 breast (2:14.87). Drew Fiden (Kettering, OH) won twice: the 200 free (1:47.24) and the 100 free (48.66). Other first place finishes included Christopher Robinson (Hamilton, OH) in the 100 back (54.05), David Ladd (Milford, OH) in the 200 fly (1:58.36), Carl Thompson (England) in the 500 free (21.22) and Osiris Briseno (Mexico) in the 200 back (1:56.45). The men also took the top two spots in the the 200 medley.
The women were led by Chasi Riley (Hastings, MN) who won 100 fly (1:01.35) and the 100 breast (1:10.16). Others first place finishes included Amanda Solt (Reynoldsburg, OH) in the 200 fly (2:18.94), Katie Tippett (Centerville, OH) in the 50 free (25.27), Jackie Dexter (Marion, OH) in the 100free (54.45), Katy Colmenares (Palm Harbor, FL) in the 200 back (2:14.30) and Noelle Bailey (Tipp City, OH) in the 200 breast (2:31.76). The WSU women also took the top two spots in the 200 medley relay.
The Raiders will host Wittenberg Friday at 5 pm.
