Wright State celebrates Beavercreek Night

Wright State University celebrates the city of Beavercreek on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, with an evening of fun-filled events and a chance to see the Wright State Raiders in action. Special events include a pre-game block party at the Nutter Center, the Air Force Band "Systems Go," a WSU men's basketball game against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and more. All these events are planned to honor the city of Beavercreek and bring Beavercreek residents and students together at Wright State for an evening of fun and goodwill, while helping out the Ronald McDonald House.
Here's the Beavercreek Night on Campus schedule of events:
5-6:45 p.m. - Beavercreek Business Links in the Nutter Center's Berry Room, prior to the men's basketball game. Welcome from WSU President Kim Goldenberg. Door prizes and appearances from the Wright State cheerleaders and mascot.
6 p.m. - Block Party: Buffet dinner open to the public on the Nutter Center concourse until tip-off. Dinner is available for $8.
6:55 p.m. - Adrienne McClemore, a Beavercreek high school junior, will sing the national anthem.
7:05 p.m. - Men's Basketball Game vs. the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at the Nutter Center. All Beavercreek residents can purchase reduced price tickets for $7 when they show their Beavercreek ID at the Nutter Center Box Office.
2nd timeout, 1st half - Beavercreek Day proclamation ceremony by Beavercreek Mayor Rick Perales. Chamber of Commerce President Phil Black, Wright State President Kim Goldenberg and Athletics Director Mike Cusack will join him.
2nd timeout, 2nd half - Split the pot drawing by Beavercreek Chamber's Business Links. Proceeds to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.
