Raiders Win at CSU

The Wright State University men's basketball defeated Cleveland State University Thursday night in Cleveland 78-73.
The Raiders used good shooting and key defense as they took a 2-0 lead and never looked back. Senior Vernard Hollins led the way with 18 points and three assists while freshman Drew Burleson collected his career high with 17 points in just 20 minutes of play. Senior Seth Doliboa and freshman Vova Severovas each threw in 12 points as WSU shot 53% from the field for the game and 79% from the line. Zakee Boyd finished with seven points and DaShaun Wood had eight points and six assists.
The Vikings tied the game at 12 with 14:36 left in the first half as the Raiders went into halftime with a 40-32 lead. In the second half, Wright State pushed its lead to 13 with 3:26 to go. Omari Westley finished the game with 21 points and nine rebounds as Jermaine Robinson added 20 in the losing effort. It was CSU's eighth straight loss.
Cleveland State outrebounded Wright State 33-25 but committed 17 turnovers to just 12 for WSU. Wright State is now 5-8, 3-1 and will play at Detroit at 4 pm Saturday. Cleveland State drops to 4-10, 0-3.
