Swimming splits meet with Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-The Wright State swimming & diving team spilt a meet against the University of Louisville on Friday evening.
The men picked up a 117-114 victory as the women fell 144-99.
The Raider men won six of the 13 events including the pivotal 400-yard freestyle relay to lead the victory. Elvis Cirikovic, Kevin Shields, Will Ehresman and Dejan Antolic won the final relay by .32 of a second with a time of 3:07.25 for the three-point win. Cirikovic, a junior from Ljubljana, Slovenia, also added event wins in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with times of 21.20 and 46.80. Antolic also won the 500 freestyle with a 4:42.39. Rafael Candido took first in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:06.05. Scott Lang won the 1000 freestyle in 9:46.25.
The women took first in three events as Svetlana Nepocatych won the 50 freestyle, Sarah Wyant the 1-meter diving and Amy Cron the 200 backstroke.
The men are now 6-1 with women 3-3.
The Raiders travel to Bowling Green, Ky. on Saturday for a meet with Western Kentucky University at 1 p.m.
