
Swimming and Diving Conclude Stay at Horizon League Championships

The Wright State swimming and diving squads concluded their stay at the Horizon League Championships Saturday in Brown Deer, Wisconsin, with the men's squad placing second to league champion UIC, while the women's team finishing third.
Nathan Demchuk won the 200 back in a time of 1:47.48, winning by almost one second over the second place finisher. Dave Cruickshank placed fourth in the event with a showing of 2:04.17 and Hans Roser was seventh in 2:06.93.
Krystyna Wieczerzak set another championship and school record in the 200 back, winning the race in a time of 1:59.00. Kim Martella placed second in the 200 breast while Hannah Jones was fourth.
Molley Pipkorn was named the Horizon League Women's Newcomer of the Year after a solid championship. The rookie set two new championship records and set a trio of Wright State school records.
