The Wright State women's soccer team picked up its fourth straight 2-1 win and reached the .500 mark in the process as the Raiders prevailed over the Indiana State Sycamores Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Liz Soto opened the scoring for the Raiders at the 30:12 mark of the first half with her first goal of the season. Amber Kasmer provided the assists, her fourth of the year.
Indiana State (7-6-1) tied the game at the 71:24 mark of the second half as Alison Gasparovich scored her eighth goal of the season on an assist by Ashley Collins.
The Sycamores then looked to have a 2-1 lead at the 73:53 mark as Kylie Greischar knocked in a shot off a cross from the left side by Seyma Erenli, but it was waived off by an offside call.
WSU tallied the game-winner at the 81:20 mark as, after an ISU foul, Brittany Persaud connected on a free kick from the right side for her fifth goal of the season.
The Raiders led 15-9 in shots, but the margin was just 10-8 in the second half. Indiana State had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Wright State (7-7) returns to Horizon League action on Friday, October 15, with a 7:00 contest at Cleveland State.
