
Persaud Named Second Team All-Great Lakes Region

Brittany Persaud, a junior midfielder on the Wright State women's soccer team, has been selected Second Team All-Great Lakes Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Persaud (Westerville, OH/North) was selcted First Team All-Horizon League in 2010 as she led the Raiders with six goals and 10 assists. The 10 assists matched Sharon Roscoe's 10 in 2001 for the most assists ever by a WSU player in a season.
Selected as the Horizon League Player of the Week on October 25, Persaud led the league in assists, finished third in shots with 51 and points with 22 and tied for fifth in goals.
Wright State won 10 or more matches for the sixth consecutive season in 2010 as the Raiders finished 11-9 overall and 5-3 in the Horizon League. WSU advanced to the semifinals of the Horizon League Tournament before falling to eventual champion and NCAA participant Milwaukee.
