
Women's Soccer Falls 2-1 at #7 Ohio State

The Wright State women's soccer team battled #7 Ohio State scoreless for 55 minutes before eventually falling to the Buckeyes 2-1 Sunday night in Columbus.
It was scoreless until OSU's Danica Wu converted a penalty kick at the 55:13 mark of the second half. The Buckeyes made it 2-0 at the 80:47 mark on a header by Chelsy Swackhamer on an assist by Kiiri Kuld.
Adrianna Guerrero answered for WSU just 34 seconds later on a shot from the far right wing, but the Raiders could get no closer despite four shots in the final six minutes.
Ohio State (3-1) outshot Wright State 22-12, but Raider goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy recorded 10 saves on the night.
Wright State (3-1) heads to Auburn, Alabama, next weekend for the Auburn Tournament. The Raiders face Ole Miss on Friday, September 2, at 5:30 Eastern, followed by the host Tigers on Sunday, September 4, at 3:00 Dayton time.
