
Women Drop 1-0 Double OT Heartbreaker in HL Finals

The Wright State women's soccer team battled #1 seed Milwaukee to the end, but the Panthers came up with the golden goal at the 7:31 mark of the second overtime for a 1-0 win in the Horizon League finals Sunday at Engelmann Stadium.
Milwaukee (8-8-1) tallied the game-winner at the 102:29 mark of the contest as Krissy Dorre finished off a rebound for her seventh goal of the season.
Senior Emilie Fillion, who scored WSU's goals in tournament wins over Youngstown State and Detroit, was named to the All-Tournament Team along with junior goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy and junior defender Liz Soto, who anchored the Raider defense that allowed just one goal in the tournament and recorded 16 saves.
Wright State closes the season with a 9-5-6 record.
