Swimming Sweeps Valparaiso

The Wright State swimming and diving teams swept Valparaiso Friday at the Athletics-Recreation Center in Valparaiso, Indiana, with the men winning 145-60 and the women taking a 146-58 decision.
The Raiders won 20 of 22 events at the meet as both the men and women had 10 first-place finishes. Earning wins on the men's side were Clement Quilliec in the 1000 free, Matt Dassow in the 200 free, Alec Carnell in the 50 free, Wiehan Boshoff in the 100 fly, Tony Ventosa in the 100 free, Steffen Listerman in the 100 back, John Vigar in the 500 free and Kile Aukerman in the 100 breast. The 200 medley relay team of Aukerman, Csongor Bajnoczki, AJ Jenkins and Ventosa was also victorious as well as the 400 free relay team of Quilliec, Bajnoczki, Vigar and Dassow.
On the women's side, winners were Samantha Miller in the 200 free, Emily Hayhow in the 50 free and 100 fly, Kristen Hayhow in the 200 IM, Nicole Holtkamp in the 100 free, Kortney Mullen in the 100 back, Marisa Melchior in the 500 free and Kayla Fearrin in the 100 breast. The 200 medley relay team of Kristen Hayhow, Fearrin, Emily Hayhow and Miller won as did the 400 free relay team of Mullen, Ashlyn Roberts, Melissa Woody and Holtkamp.
Wright State is right back in action on Saturday with a meet at UIC that starts at noon Eastern.
