The Wright State softball team dropped a pair of games at the USF Tournament in Tampa on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Pittsburgh and 9-0 to Binghamton.
In the first game of the day against Pittsburgh, the Raiders opened the scoring with a run in the first. Jess Gorman was hit by a pitch to start the inning and after moving up to second on a Reagan Stofcheck sacrifice bunt, Libby Pfeffer drove Gorman in with a single through the left side.
Pittsburgh, though, tied the game in the third on a solo home run by Kaila Balatgek and won it in the bottom of the seventh on a double and a two-out single.
Gorman had two hits to lead the WSU offense while in the circle, Montana Wear pitched 6.2 innings, striking out two.
In the second game of the day, Wright State fell behind early as Binghamton scored three in the first. It stayed that way until the Bearcats scored twice in the fifth and added four in the seventh.
Wright State (0-4) wraps up tournament play against #1 ranked Tennessee on Sunday morning at 11:15.
