Sharp Honored by NFCA

Ashley Sharp of the Wright State softball team earned National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region third team honors.
Sharp recently finished her career with the most career wins (62) and shutouts (15), ending her senior season with 15 wins and 128 strikeouts in 225.2 innings. She was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Year and to the first team. In Horizon League games only, she has a 1.17 ERA with nine wins. Sharp has five losses this year when she did not allow an earned run. She was named to the first team in 2016 and to the all-tournament teams in 2015 and 2016.
NFCA member coaches voted on the teams and honorees are now eligible for the 2018 NFCA Division I All-American squads, which will be announced on Wednesday, May 30. View full list of All-Region Teams here.
