Raiders assistant coach Travis Sobers earns promotion to Associate Head Coach

After serving five years as an assistant coach, Travis Sobers has been named the associate head coach of the Wright State women's soccer team.
"From his playing days at Wright State, to his consistent support of the university and his dedication to the womens soccer program, Travis has made a tremendous impact," said head coach Patrick Ferguson. "Starting out as a volunteer coach, he has always been committed to the student-athlete and their experience in the program. He has made deep contributions to the success of the women's soccer team, and is fully deserving of this promotion."
Travis is an alumnus of Wright State and played for the men's soccer team from 1998-2001. During his time as a player at WSU, he was named First Team All Ohio. After graduation, Sobers had numerous coaching and playing experiences on the club and high school levels, before being hired as an assistant by coach Ferguson in 2013.
"First of all I am very thankful for the opportunity and want to thank Bob Grant and Pat Ferguson," said Sobers. "I've learned a lot over the past 6 years, and I am excited to continue working with such great student athletes and an incredible staff."
