The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams closed out their season in Wisconsin on Friday at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
Â
In the women's 6k race, which featured 215 runners from 31 schools, the Raiders placed 21st overall as a team and had a pair of runners in the top 100. Shelby Nolan closed out her career with a 21:18.5 time and finished 41st, a 25-spot improvement over her NCAA Regional finish a season ago. Junior Abigail Halsey turned in a time of 22:08.1 and finished 85th overall.
Â
In a field of 29 schools and 201 runners, the men placed 24th overall and had one top-40 runner at the 10k distance – senior Nathan Dunn, who clocked a time of 31:16.4 in his final collegiate race.
Â
Nolan set the pace for the Raiders all season long, leading the Wright State women in each of the six team races while recording five top-five finishes, including a first-place finish and two second place finishes. Nolan reset the Wright State standard in the women's 6K twice this season, most recently at the Horizon League Championship with a time of 21:16 as she finished second overall. She also broke the new school record in the 5K distance (17:43) to begin the year – a mark that had stood for 18 years.
Â
Dunn closed out his career by leading the charge for the Raider men in each of the six races, finishing second at the Horizon League Championship and recording four top-five finishes this fall. He reset the Wright State standard in the men's 8K twice this season, most recently at the Horizon League Championship with his time of 24:07.
