Women's Soccer Adds Three on Signing Day

Wright State women's soccer head coach Pat Ferguson announced three additions to their roster, effective in the fall of 2021. Olivia Mace, Rachel Root, and Annika Samborski have all signed national letters-of-intent to play with the Raiders.

Mace, attended Centerville High School and played club soccer for Ohio Galaxies Elite, where she was a member of the 2019 US Youth Soccer Ohio State Championship team.

Root, a native of Centerville, Ohio played club soccer for Ohio Galaxies Elite and was a member of the 2019 US Youth Soccer Ohio State Championship team. She attended Centerville High School. Root was a GWOC All Conference Special Mention for the Elks and tallied four goals and 10 assists during her senior season. 

A native of Centerville, Samborski, tallied seven goals and five assists during her senior season for the Elks. Samborski was also a member of the GWOC Championship teams, advancing to the State semifinals and also the 2019 US Youth Soccer Ohio State Championship team with Ohio Galaxies Elite.

Wright State ended 2019 with a 10-6-2 overall record, falling to Northern Kentucky in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Championship.
