Raider Athletic Fund launches 2020-21 campaign

The Wright State Athletic Department announced today the launch of the 2020 Raider Athletic Fund (RAF) giving campaign. The annual campaign raises money for scholarships and the overall operational needs of the department and its 200-plus student-athletes.

The launch comes on the heels of the university's directive to reduce the department's operating budget $2 million for the 2020-21 fiscal year.

"COVID-19 has impacted nearly every person and organization around the globe, including this university," Wright State Director of Athletics Bob Grant said. "I'm not sure if there's ever been a greater need for Raider Nation to show their support for our student-athletes."

Gifts to the RAF are used for scholarships, academic and mental health support, life skills development, nutritional resources and the overall operation of the athletic department.
