Raiders finish sixth and eighth at HL Cross Country Championship

Wright State's Abigail Halsey finished fifth in the women's 6K on Thursday afternoon at the 2020 Horizon League Championship, as the Raider women finished sixth (169 points) in the team standings and the men's squad turned in an eighth-place finish (186 points).

In the women's race, Halsey secured the fifth-place finish with her time of 22:07.5 to earn First-Team All-Horizon League honors. Emma Shigley (27^th, 22:07.5), Kaitlyn Miller (37^th, 24:13.7), Lauren Shuman (43^rd, 24:31.8), and Emma Johnson (57^th, 26:02.4) all registered points for the Raiders.

On the men's side of things, Max Pettit paced the Raiders with his 15^th place finish in the men's 8K, recording a time of 26:28.4. Alex McCarty (23^rd, 26:53.4), Tayton Hess (39^th, 27:37.2), Ryan Cooper (49^th, 28:14.3), and John Steimle (60^th, 30:25.5) each earned points for Wright State. Blake Martin (62^nd, 30:32.8) and Tim Steimle (63^rd, 30:34.7) also competed for the Raiders on Thursday.
