Raiders finish 10th on final day of HL Championship

The Wright State track and field team closed the outdoor track and field season in Youngstown at the 2021 Horizon League Championships on Sunday.
Wright State finished 10th overall in the conference.
Alicia Neumeier highlighted the Raider performances on Sunday, turning in a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters to earn four points for Wright State.
In the women's 1500 meters final, Lauren Shuman tallied another Raider top-10 finish with her season-best time of 4:44 – good for a ninth-place finish.
Abigail Halsey finished 12th in the 5000 meters final with her time of 18:08, while Emma Shigley (25th, 18:43.48) and Tiffany Ward (34th, 19:56.69) competed in the event.
The women's high jump final saw two Wright State top-20 finishes, as Amelia Harlow's jump of 1.49 meters was good for a 14th place finish while Tatiana Brown placed 17th with her jump of 1.49 meters.
On Friday, senior Shelby Nolan set both a conference and school record as she finished the women's 10k in 34:42.60 to be crowned champion.
Saturday saw junior Abigail Halsey take first in the women's 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10:50.98 to earn Wright State's second title of the weekend. Notably, Halsey's first-place finish earned Wright State's third consecutive steeplechase title dating back to 2018.
