DAYTON, OH – The Wright State women's soccer team announced its 2021 fall schedule Friday, one that will include teams from a variety of conferences as well as the Horizon League slate.
Two exhibition games against Morehead State and Miami (OH) will prep the Raiders who start the regular season on the road at Marshall on Aug. 19 before welcoming Bellarmine to Alumni Field on Aug. 26. The Raiders wrap up August on the road at Oklahoma State on Aug. 29.
Four games in early September wrap up the non-conference side of the things, as Wright State is on the road at Akron (Sep. 2) and UT Martin (Sep. 5) before welcoming Butler (Sep. 9) and Eastern Kentucky (Sep. 12).
Its back on the road to start the month of October at Cleveland State (Oct. 2), before hosting Detroit Mercy (Oct. 7). The remainder of October is a back and forth home and away schedule for the Raiders to prep for the Horizon League Tournament.
The Horizon League Championship begins on October 31 and will conclude with the Championship on November 6.
Wright State finished the spring season with a 4-5-0 mark.

Morehead State (Aug. 11, Alumni Field: exhibition) Morehead State finished the spring season with both an overall and OVC record of 2-8-0. The Eagles and Raiders last met in September of 2019 when Wright State handed the hosts a 2-1 loss.
Miami (OH) (Aug. 15, Alumni Field: exhibition) The Redhawks compiled a 4-4-0 overall and MAC record during the spring season. Wright State hosted Miami in August of 2019, handing the Redhawks a 1-0 loss.
Marshall (Aug. 19, Huntington WV) Marshall compiled a 3-7-0 overall record and went winless in Conference USA play, tallying a 0-6-0 record. The two teams last met in 2004, as the Raiders hosted the Thundering Herd, handing them a 1-0 loss.
Bellarmine (Aug. 26, Alumni Field) The Knights ended the 2021 spring with an overall record of 2-6-3, with a 2-3-3 mark in the SoCon. Wright State and Bellarmine will face off for the first time in program history.
Oklahoma State (Aug. 29, Stillwater, OK) Oklahoma State found themselves in the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship this spring. The Cowgirls finished the spring 13-3-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the Big 12. OSU defeated South Alabama in the first round 7-0, before drawing with Texas A&M 3-3 in double overtime and falling 3-4 in penalty kicks.
Akron (Sept. 2, Akron, OH) The Zips tallied a 3-5-1 mark in the spring. Akron and Wright State last met on the pitch in August of 2009, with the Zips handing the visiting Raiders a 2-1 loss.
UT Martin (Sept. 5, Martin, TN) UT Martin finished the spring with a 6-4-1 overall record, with a 6-3-1 mark in the OVC. The Skyhawks and Raiders met in 2019, with the two teams fighting through 110 minutes of action to a 2-2 draw.
Butler (Sept. 9, Alumni Field) Butler finished the shortened spring season 10-2-0 overall and 6-1-0 in the Big East. The Bulldogs defeated Connecticut 2-1, before falling to Georgetown in the Championship 2-1 (OT). The two teams last met in 2015, with Butler handing Wright State a 1-0 loss on the road.
Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 12, Alumni Field) Eastern Kentucky finished the 2021 spring 4-5-1 overall and in the OVC. The Raiders and Colonials met in September of 2012, a double overtime 1-1 draw.
Milwaukee* (Sept. 16, Milwaukee, WI) The Horizon League Tournament Champions finished the 2021 spring season 9-2-1 overall and 7-1-0 in Horizon League play. The automatic NCAA qualifiers defeated Elon 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, before falling to No. 1-seeded Florida State 3-0. The Panthers handed the Raiders a 3-0 loss in Milwaukee in the spring.
Youngstown State* (Sept. 19, Alumni Field) The Penguins finished the spring with both an overall and HL record of 1-7-1. Wright State and YSU met at Alumni field, with the Raiders walking away 2-1 victors.
Green Bay* (Sept. 23, Green Bay, WI) Green Bay tallied a 1-4-1 overall and conference record during the spring. The Phoenix and Raiders last met in 2019, with Wright State tallying a 1-0 victory on the road.
IUPUI* (Sept. 26, Alumni Field) The Jaguars recorded a 5-2-2 overall and HL record this spring. IUPUI and Wright State battled, this spring with IUPUI tallying a come-from-behind 3-2 victory.
Cleveland State* (Oct. 2, Cleveland, OH) Cleveland State complied a 6-4-0 record during the spring season. The Raiders and Vikings battled through 110 minutes, but Cleveland State found the advantage 2-1.
Detroit Mercy* (Oct. 7, Alumni Field) The Titans ended the spring season 2-6-1. Detroit Mercy and Wright State met in February, the Raiders tallied a 2-1 victory at Wall 2 Wall Sports in Mason, OH.
Purdue Fort Wayne* (Oct. 10, Fort Wayne, IN) One of the newest members to the Horizon League finished the season 3-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in league play. Wright State and Fort Wayne will meet for the first time in program history this season.
Robert Morris* (Oct. 14, Alumni Field) Robert Morris finished their first full season as a member of the Horizon League with a record of 1-8-0. Wright State traveled to Moon Township, PA and handed the Colonials a 4-0 loss this spring.
Oakland* (Oct. 17, Rochester, MI) The Golden Grizzlies ended the spring 5-3-2. Wright State and Oakland faced off in March at Alumni Field, with the visitors tallying a 1-0 victory with just second left in regulation.
UIC* (Oct. 23, Alumni Field) UIC finished the shortened spring with an overall record if 5-3-1 while tallying a 5-2-1 mark in HL play. The Raiders welcomed the Flames to Alumni Field in March and handed the visitors a 2-1 loss.
Northern Kentucky* (Oct. 27, Alumni Field) The Horizon League Regular Season Champs finished the spring 8-1-2 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play. The Norse and Raiders met on the final day of the spring season, with Wright State falling 2-0 to close out the season.
