
Raiders finish fall season at NCAA Great Lakes Regional

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams ended the fall seasons on Friday in the 2022 NCAA Division I Great Lakes Cross Country Regional, hosted by Indiana State at Lavern Gibson Championship Course.Â
The Raider men took 28th overall in the 10,000-meter race, with the top-five runners averaging a time of 34:04. The WSU women's team finished 29th in the 6,000-meter race, as the top-five Raiders posted an average mark of 23:45. Wisconsin claimed the men's title, while Notre Dame finished atop the women's team standings in the postseason event.
Max Pettit paced the men's team, earning 77th overall at 31:42.0 to become the seventh individual in program history to break 32 minutes in the 10K. Patrick Statzer (173, 34:13.6), Ryan Cooper (174, 34:17.2), Ethan Neblock (187, 34:53.5), and Alan Fullenkamp (191, 35:17.9) rounded out the top-five finishers for Wright State.Â
Alicia Neumeier highlighted the Raider women with a personal-record time of 22:17.5, good for the seventh-fastest 6K mark in school history and 106th overall in the regional. She was followed by Emma Shigley (138, 22:44.4), Emma Johnson (169, 23:26.3), Anna Johnson (205, 24:57.0), and Alycea Ruhlen (209, 25:24.4).Â
