INDIANAPOLIS — The Wright State women's soccer program received two Horizon League honors as the conference office announced its yearly awards Friday afternoon. Lauren Borchert earned All-League Second Team accolades, while Kaitlyn Eyink was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Borchert collected All-League honors for the third time in her collegiate career after tallying seven points on three goals and one assist in 17 games, all starts, in the regular season. The Richfield, Ohio native is tied for third in the Horizon League with two game-winning goals while also possessing top-10 league marks in total shots (T-7th, 40) and shots per game (T-7th, 2.35). Borchert has registered multiple shots in a team-leading 12 matches, highlighted by a season-high five shots against Southern Indiana (8/24).
Eyink has played in all 17 contests to date for the Raiders, which includes 15 starts. She ranks second on the team, only behind goalkeeper Kiera Sarka, in minutes logged (1267) and complete games (4). The Findlay, Ohio native has anchored Wright State's back line to seven shutouts, the program's highest mark since 2017.
