DAYTON — The Wright State women's soccer program fell to Milwaukee 4-0 on the road Sunday afternoon at Engelmann Stadium.
The Raiders dropped to 5-5-3 on the season and 3-2-1 in Horizon League play, while MKE improved to 9-2-2 overall and 6-0 against HL opponents.
Wright State finished with eight shots in the loss, including five on goal.
Lauren Borchert led the way with a team-leading three shots, while
Olivia Mace added two shots on frame. Freshman defenders
Kaitlyn Eyink and
Zara Graff logged 90 minutes of action to pace the back line.
Goalkeeper
Kiera Sarka tallied 10 saves in 14 opportunities, good for the second-highest mark of her collegiate career. Seven of her 10 saves transpired in the opening half.
Milwaukee came out firing with four shots on goal in the opening 21 minutes of play, but Sarka corralled each scoring opportunity to keep the match scoreless. The Panthers' Molly O'Regan broke the tie with a goal in the 25th minute and found the back of the net two more times in the half to achieve a hat-trick.

Olivia Mace, and Borchert threatened Milwaukee with shots on goal in the first half. However, Panther goalkeeper Kendall Edwards recorded four saves to keep the Raiders off the scoreboard.
MKE's Kat Van Booven scored in the 48th minute of the second half to push Wright State's deficit to 4-0. Both teams were scoreless for the remainder of the match, which sealed WSU's second loss in the conference play this season.
The Raiders will turn their focus to a home meeting against Detroit Mercy on Thursday, October 12.
