
Raiders conclude season at NCAA Great Lakes Regional

MADISON, Wisc. — The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams turned in 25th-place finishes in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday afternoon at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
Alex McCarty paced the men's team in the 10,000-meter run, earning 53rd overall with a personal record time of 30:59.4 to become just the third individual in program history to break 31 minutes in the race. Noah Sharp took 88th in 31:36.0, followed by Patrick Statzer (185th, 33:35.1), Bryce Page (188th, 33:46.5), Ethan Neblock (193rd, 33:52.7), Tayton Hess (206th, 35:07.5), and Alan Fullenkamp (207th, 32:50.3).Â
Kaitlyn Miller was Wright State's top finisher in the 6,000-meter run, placing 86th overall with a time of 22:03.9. Alicia Neumeier (106th, 22:22.0), Emma Johnson (135th, 22:48.6), Reece Barnitz (214th, 24:52.7), Anna Johnson (220th, 25:17.2), Alycea Lemmon (221st, 25:17.5), and Sydney Thompson (225th, 25:55.9) also represented the Raider women in the regional.Â
Friday marks the conclusion of the 2023 cross country campaign for Wright State. The Raiders' track and field season starts on December 2 at the Tiger Opener hosted by Wittenberg.
