Hutchison named Female Athlete of the Month for December

DAYTON — Alexis Hutchison, a member of the Wright State women's basketball program, has been named the December Female Athlete of the Month, presented by Dayton Children's Hospital's The Center for the Female Athlete.

Hutchison averaged 21.4 points per game in eight contests in the month of December, including scoring a career-best 37 points against West Virginia on December 12. She finished with a pair of 20-plus point games and also had two contests with over 30 points, finishing with a single digit point total in just one of the eight games. Hutchison shot 45 percent from the floor over the course of the month, connecting on three-pointers at a 44 percent pace. She added a 6.1 rebounds per game average to go along with 14 assists, 11 steals and a block in the month of action.

Hutchison and the Raiders return to action on the road Thursday night, making the short trip to take on IUPUI in a 7 p.m. tipoff. Fans can follow the action via live stats and ESPN+.
