Raider Bowlers bring home first-, third-place finishes on Saturday

COLUMBUS – The Wright State bowling team competed for the second-straight weekend on Saturday, bringing home first and third place team finishes in the Ohio Bowling Conference's Event 4 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace.

Wright State's 'Gold' group - Abby Derham, Alex Drsek, Natalie Hanson, Anna Johns, Paige Patterson and Phoenix Perry – took home the top spot in their division, tallying 5,078 total pins over the four five-person team games and 10 Baker games. The Raider 'Gold' squad - Makenzie Gossett, Emma Hatfield, Rylie Jeanneret, Kennedy Moore, Mia Sayles, Jasmine Schulze, Allison Shattuck and Alina Stebbins – finished third in their 16-team division with a 6,533 total pin mark, just three pins shy of Muskingum in second and less than 100 pins from first-place Northwestern Ohio.

Four Raiders finished in the top 20 individually, led by Gossett and Jeanneret, who tied for the 10th-best average with 189.0 pinfall averages. Hanson was No. 14 with her 187.25 pinfall average and Sayles was No. 20 with her 183.5 pinfall average.

Wright State is back in action February 2-4 at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite in Missouri.
