INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State's Olivia Mace was named to the Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. The 11-member list is voted on by the League's faculty athletics representatives.
To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution (excluding summer school), having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests.
This is Mace's second consecutive All-Academic recognition, being named an honorable mention for the 2023 season, and has been named to the Horizon League Honor Roll in every semester of eligibility. The Centerville, Ohio native holds a 3.939 cumulative GPA as a Physiology and Neuroscience major and has been named to the Wright State Dean's List multiple times, recently earning highest honors in the Fall of 2023, and high honors in the Spring of 2024. She is set to graduate this Spring and plans to continue her education in pharmacy school after graduation.
Mace has played in all 16 games for the Raiders this season, starting in 14, logging over 1000 minutes of playing time with three complete games and nine 70+ minute games. The senior defender has tallied four assists, all in HL matchups, with a league game high of two assists at Detroit Mercy on October 10.
Mace and the Raiders will close the regular season on Wednesday, October 30 at Northern Kentucky. The game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff with ESPN+ livestreaming and live stats provided.
