Bowlers turn in strong showing in Saturday action

Valley Park, MO -Â The Wright State bowling team collected three wins on Saturday over five traditional matches at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite.

Sunday's action will feature one traditional match and two best of seven brackets beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Bowlero Lakeside.

The Raiders went 3-2 overall Saturday in their traditional games, defeating Wisconsin-Whitewater (933-857), McKendree (900-867) and Lewis (868-829). Wright State battled to a 1,028-all tie with Maryville before falling 93-81 in the tiebreaker, also falling UAB (980-878).

Wright State finished day two with a pinfall of 4,607 and have a two-day pinfall total of 9,010 with a 180.2 average game score. Allison Shattuck led the Raiders with a 197.60 average and 988 pinfall over five games, followed by Makenzie Gossett (185.60, 928 pinfall) and Alex Drsek (185.40, 927 pinfall).
