DAYTON – For the first time in program history, the Wright State Bowling team is regarded among the top teams in the country, as the Raiders are ranked No. 25 in the National Tenpin Coaches Association's Power Index Ranking. The organization released its latest rankings on January 19.
Â
The formula to rank the teams includes the following statistics:Â Season Wins, Season Losses, Sum of Winning Percentage, Sum of Opponents Winning Percentage and Sum of Opponents Opponents Winning Percentage. From that, a Performance Index Ranking (PIR) is created, and the teams are ranked based on this number.
Â
Wright State is currently 25-24 on the season through its most recent tournament action in mid-January. The Raiders are back on the lanes next weekend when they travel to Missouri as part of the Columbia 300 Saints Invite January 31-February 2.
