Bowlers sit in third after opening day action in Illinois

ROCKFORD, IL – The No. 20 Wright State bowling team opened play at the Warhawk Classic on Friday afternoon, going 3-2 in the first day of action to sit in third in the 10-team field.

Saturday's action will feature five traditional matches beginning at 9:25 a.m. CT before match play on Sunday.

Teams bowled five head-to-head Baker matches on Friday, with the Raiders grabbing wins over (RV) Belmont Abbey (953-850), No. 13 Wisconsin-Whitewater (906-777) and Quincy (854-844) while dropping close matches to Carroll (909-886) and Western Illinois (922-895). The Raiders finished with a 4,494 total pinfall on Friday with a 179.8 average game score.
