DAYTON — The Wright State cross country teams will host the Wild Bill Invite for its last regular season meet on Friday at Fairborn Community Park.
The men's 8,000-meter run will kick off the meet at 4:30pm., while the women's 6K race following at 5:15 p.m.
Both courses are relatively flat and fast with all grass footing.

The men's team is coming off strong showing at last weekend's Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, IL, with Wright State finishing ahead of the other three Horizon League teams in the field (Milwaukee, Purdue Fort Wayne and Green Bay) along with besting future HL foe Northern Illinois and regional foe Xavier. The Raiders were paced by
Patrick Statzer's 40th-place finish with a 24:52.89 mark, followed moments behind by
Blake Rodgers at 24:55.43 in 41st.
Also last week, Wright State contingents on the men's and women's sides both turned in seventh-place finishes at the Falcon Invitational. Nine Raider men ran in the Bowling Green-hosted Falcon Invitational 8K, led by
Emmitt Slabach's 23rd-place finish and 26:03.1 time, followed closely by
Tyler Mimnaugh in 33rd with his 26:19.9 mark. A total of 16 Wright State women competed in the 6k race, led by
Shelby Hept's 39th-place finish with her 23:06.1 mark, followed moments later with
Samantha Seas' 23:09.4 time in 41st.
After the Wild Bill Invite, Wright State will travel to Fort Wayne for the Horizon League Cross Country Championship on November 1 at the Mastodon Cross Country Course.
