Bowlers continue action at Flyer Classic

LOCKPORT, IL – The No. 19 Wright State bowling team continued action at the Flyer Classic on Saturday, going 1-4 in the five traditional matches to remain 12th overall in the 22-team field.

Sunday's action will get underway with bracket play beginning at around 9 a.m. Eastern from the Chicagoland area. The Raiders will open Sunday against No. 20 Tulane, the second meeting of the weekend between the teams after a Friday matchup in Backer action that saw Tulane win by two pins, 996-994.

Wright State went 1-4 in Saturday's traditional games, opening the day with a win over No. 6 North Carolina A&T (1,041-974) before dropping tight matchups with No. 10 Maryville (1,048-1,029), No. 2 Vanderbilt (959-934), Valparaiso (993-905) and No. 9 Stephen F. Austin (944-873).

The Raiders finished day two with a pinfall of 4,782 and have a two-day pinfall total of 9,613 for a 192.3 average game score. Alli Shattuck leads Wright State in 14th with a 213.0 average, followed by Mia Sayles (80th, 190.25) and Jasmine Schulze (82nd, 188.50).
