VALPARAISO, IN- Wright State freshman,
Taliah Pellizzari, scored her first collegiate goal on Sunday afternoon as the Raiders fell 1-2 on the road against Valparaiso.

Wright State (1-4) returns home for a Thursday night contest against Bellarmine, with first touch set for 7 p.m. at Alumni Field. The first 100 fans through the gate will receive a Wright State women's soccer t-shirt. Fans can follow the cation via live stats and

The Raiders would strike first with Pellizzari's goal in the 52
nd minute. The raiders played a corner in to the back post where there was a shot blocked by a Valpo defender that landed at the feet of Pellizzari. The freshman then settled the ball and hit a left-footed strike past the keepers left and into the back of the net.

Valpo responded to the Wright State goal quickly with one of their own just two minutes of game time later when Martha Goddard scored her first goal of the season for the Beacons. Ashley Harvatin would give Valpo the lead in the 64
th minute with a left-footed strike that curled into the side netting.

In the box score Wright State lead in shots (19-7), shots on goal (7-5), and corner kick opportunities (6-5). While Valpo led in saves (7-3).
Caitlin Burger led the Raiders with six shots, two of which were on target.
